As of Jan. 22, Schillo is overseeing an annual consolidated operating budget of more than $103 million, as well as a variety of administrative offices such as accounting, budget, internal control, payroll and purchasing, as well as the departments of Environmental Health and Safety, Facilities Planning, Facilities Services, the Faculty Student Association, Human Resources, Student Accounts, and University Services, which collectively employ more than 380 staff members.

Dr. Terry Brown starts July 1 as the new Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at SUNY Fredonia. A 24-year veteran of the University of Wisconsin system, she was provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at the Parkside campus, interim provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at the River Falls campus, and dean of arts and sciences at the River Falls campus.
Raymong Belliotti's Shakespeare and Philosophy: Lust, Love, and Law, was recently published by Rodopi. The book is an interdisciplinary work that weaves literary interpretation, legal theory, and philosophical doctrine about sex and love into a coherent mosaic in the context of two of Shakespeare’s plays: The Merchant of Venice and Measure for Measure. In the process, the work advances literary interpretations of the plays including character studies of the main protagonists.
Photography Professor Liz Lee (Visual Arts and New Media) has an upcoming solo show in the Ameristar Gallery at the Foundry Arts Center in St. Charles, MO, entitled, "Prophetic Drawings." Opening on the winter solstice, Friday, Dec. 21, the gallery offers a reception with the artist on ith the reception taking place on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013.
Dr. Ellen Litwicki, professor of History at SUNY Fredonia, was a panelist at the SUNY Conversations in the Disciplines conference held Nov. 17 at the University of Albany “The Present & Future of Public History in New York” was the theme of the session, which brought together both state university faculty and professionals in the field of public history. Dr. Litwicki was part of a panel discussion titled "Training Future Public Historians."
Fredonia State alumna and track and field assistant coach Julia (Hopson) Williamson can add one more line to her impressive resume. A five-time All-American and former national champion, Williamson is now a published author. Her children's book, “Little Pig, Little Pig,” will be available within the next month at Amazon.com and through Barnes & Noble.
