On July 1, SUNY Fredonia will officially open its new College of Visual and Performing Arts, formally combining its world-renowned School of Music with its strong departments of Theatre and Dance, and Visual Arts and New Media, as well as the Michael C. Rockefeller Arts Center. Today, the university named Dr. Ralph J. Blasting as its founding dean.

“Stop the World — I Want to Get Off” will be presented in Bartlett Theatre at Rockefeller Arts Center with six performances from March 8 to 16. It will be directed by Tom Loughlin. The show includes the songs “Once in a Lifetime” and “What Kind of Fool Am I?,” which became a hit for Sammy Davis, Jr. in 1962.

SUNY Fredonia’s Collaborative Productions and The Performing Arts Company will present "Negative Space," a full-length drama, on Saturday, March 2 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 3 at 1 p.m., in 209 McEwen Hall.
