Writers@Work, in collaboration with multiple humanities and STEM departments, will host a full-day residency, “Sustaining Medical Humanities as an Ethical and Interdisciplinary Field,” with SUNY Fredonia alumna Emilee Stenson on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
Update: This event has been postponed until later in the academic year.
Megan (Buchholz) DeJoe and Rebekah Denz, 2019 SUNY Fredonia graduates with B.A. degrees in History and minors in Museum Studies, will describe steps they took that placed them on paths leading to successful careers in “Living in History,” a spring Writers@Work residency.
Author, global health activist, philanthropist and Chautauqua County native Donato J. Tramuto will lead a panel discussion and help kick off a student leadership roundtable and e-board recruitment event at SUNY Fredonia on Wednesday, Sept. 7.
SUNY Fredonia will welcome back alumni Jakera Cooper Willis, an entrepreneur who has won national competitions for her food products, and Jordan Willis, a storyboard revisionist with Marvel Studios, for a four-day residency on April 20 to 23.

Two veteran FBI employees who are also SUNY Fredonia alumni, Deneen Hernandez, ’86, and Lisa Mapes Matsumoto, ’90, will return to campus for “Finding the Truth: Careers with the FBI,” a two-day Writers @ Work residency/Convocation event to be held Oct. 14 and 15.
Alumni – each of whom has become a changemaker in their respective career field – will speak at a virtual residency in the Writers @ Work Young Alumni Changemakers series.
Fredonia will welcome back alumnus Josh Schneider for a three-day Convocation residency, sponsored by Fredonia’s School of Business and the Writers@Work series, on Wednesday through Friday, March 4 through 6.
Alumni with GRAMMY credentials will be welcomed back to Fredonia for Writers@Work in November.
