Campus AIDS testing offered Dec. 1 at LoGrasso

Within a matter of a few weeks, Fredonia students will be able to pick up dairy products, fruit juice and other perishable items through the campus food pantry, thanks to an $800 SUNY grant funding the purchase of two refrigerators.

As part of SUNY Fredonia’s on-going effort to ensure the health and safety of our campus community, the campus has initiated a campus-wide testing protocol in Steele Hall. A weekly testing schedule has been developed to ensure all members of the campus community are included.
Campus begins testing students for COVID-19
Surveillance testing for COVID-19 was launched during the first week of classes at Fredonia, with about 100 students participating in the innovative pooled surveillance approach that uses saliva samples, collected in small batches to be run as one test, so results can be delivered back to campus within just a few days.
De-Stress for Success
De-Stress for Success began Monday and is virtual this year. It features a variety of events and programs to help students relax and recharge for final exams.
Counseling Center adopts virtual format for all services
Though they’re back home, which can be anywhere across New York State, in other parts of the country or in foreign lands, Fredonia students can easily access the full range of services and assistance traditionally provided by the Fredonia Counseling Center through newly implemented tele-services.
Coronavirus Information for campus
The university is closely monitoring the spread of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus). There currently are no known cases of the virus in Fredonia or Chautauqua County, but there are cases elsewhere in New York and the number will likely increase.
Ease end-of-semester anxiety at De-Stress for Success offerings
De-Stress for Success, a series of events, programs and workshops designed to help students find ways to reduce stress in a healthy, productive manner while gaining the focus they need to succeed as the fall semester winds down, will run from Monday, Dec. 9, through Friday, Dec. 20.
