Recent graduate co-authors paper accepted at IEEE annual conference

A paper co-authored by Fredonia graduate Aierkan Salayding, who received a B.S. in Computer Science, with a concentration in Software Development, in December 2019, has been accepted for presentation at the 11th annual IEEE Information Technology, Electronics and Mobile Communication Conference.

I met Ellen (Hitchcock) Meister in September 1960 while living in Hillman House freshman dorm; she was a friend of my assigned roommate from Niagara Falls. Friendships have always been important to me. It seems as a child when we sang the song, “Make new friends, but keep the old…one is silver and the other gold,” I took these words to heart, using them as a theme throughout my life.

SUNY Impact Foundation to match gifts made to Fredonia Student Emergency Relief Fund

There is now an incredible opportunity to double any new gifts to Fredonia’s Student Emergency Relief Fund. Due to a generous donation, the SUNY Impact Foundation will match dollar for dollar any gift made to Fredonia’s campus relief fund up to a total of $50,000.

Alumna Kaleigh Vogan wins statewide education award

Starting as a babysitter, Kaleigh Vogan has always worked with children, but she can trace her “ah ha” moment – when she knew she destined to become a teacher – to an experience in high school. She “interviewed” a class of kindergartners and fifth graders for an art project and made an astute observation.
