Pellechia sets new school mark
She was supposed to vault at Brockport, but the weather sent her to Westminster College in Pennsylvania. The change in venues did not deter Cara Pellechia on Saturday as she cleared 3.63m to set a new Fredonia State mark in the outdoor pole vault.
Devils see success at Westminster
The Fredonia State men's track and field team had a strong showing this weekend at Westminster. The meet featured a number of Division I, II, and III schools. Cameron Sample had the top individual performance, a fourth place in the triple jump, and the 4x100 relay team took first place.
Devils earn three wins over the weekend
The Fredonia State softball team earned a series split against Plattsburgh and a sweep against Potsdam over the weekend to improve to 8-12 overall and 3-3 in the SUNYAC.
Devils eclipse Oneonta in sweep
Game 1 of the doubleheader started with a walk-off win -- the Devils' third of the season -- and finished with some strong pitching and timely hitting as the Fredonia State baseball team defeated Oneonta, 8-7 and 7-4.

The Fredonia State women's tennis program downed Thiel College on the road on Sunday afternoon.
Winn is the fastest man on Saturday
Sophomore Jacob Winn followed up a very successful indoor season by winning the 100m and 200m dashes in his first outdoor event of the season.
Devils split with New Paltz
Garrett Stuckey took the first pitch of the game over the centerfield fence and Fredonia State would go on to win Game 1 of a doubleheader, 5-3, at New Paltz. In Game 2, the Devils would lead 3-1 after six-and-a-half innings, but New Paltz scored seven runs over the final two innings.
Devils win at Keuka
The Fredonia State women's lacrosse team improved to 4-2 with a 17-4 win at Keuka on Saturday. Sydney Buchko had a game to remember. With 10 draw controls, she now has 198 for her career, ranking No. 1 on the Blue Devils' all-time list.
Women's lacrosse earns second shut out in program history
The Fredonia State women's lacrosse team shutout the Hilbert College Hawks 20-0 on Saturday. "The way we shared the ball is the way I know we can play no matter the level of competition," said Head Coach Tori Poffenberger.
4x200 relay team sets school mark
The 4x200 relay team of Jordan Lockett, Cam Sample, Jacob Winn, and Nick Marsowicz turned in a time of 1:31.93 to set a new Fredonia State mark while competing at the Regional Meet at Nazareth.
