Almost Home Contest!
What is Almost Home?
Almost Home is a competition throughout the residence halls that is a way for students to show off how they have decorated their room to feel like home. Living away from home is a big deal and it is important for students to be able to show their creativity and feel like they have a place to call home. We want to see all of your hard work!
How do I enter?
Students can enter the Almost Home competition by e-mailing photos of their room to the Office of Residence Life by October 18th! Please include 2-3 pictures.
Rules
Each room entered must follow the guidelines:
- You must be a current, registered Fredonia student that lives on-campus.
- All furniture must be legal as per the housing license, no furniture that is not California Code rated.
- No painting/drawing on the walls.
- All original furniture must be in the room and accounted for.
- No blockage of any fire detecting devices.
- No suite or recreation room furniture.
Judging
The judging will be based on:
- Best use of space and furniture.
- Creativity.
- Neatness.
- Appropriateness.
- Overall appearance.
The judging panel will be announced at a later date.
Prizes
The winning room will receive a $200 gift card to be split between the residents the bookstore. The winning room will also be featured on our website.
