New York State Teaching Certification Submission

PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL OR MAIL YOUR CERTIFICATION BECAUSE IT DISPLAYS BOTH YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER AND BIRTHDATE. 

To submit proof of New York State teaching certification, please follow these steps: 

  1. Go to the TEACH Online Services web page
  2. Click on the "Login to TEACH" link and log in
  3. Click on "Account Information"
  4. Select "Certificates" from the box of options, then click the "Go" button
  5. Your list of pending and/or issued certificates will appear on the next page; this is your proof of certification
  6. Copy the screen by pressing the "Print Screen" key on your keyboard (the upper right corner of standard keyboards)
  7. Paste the screen into a Word document and save it as a PDF to an easily-remembered location
  8. Log in to your Fredonia graduate application account (Your Connection)
  9. Go to Admissions Application Status in Your Connection and upload the document in the "Graduate Proof of Cert" section
  10. Once uploaded, email graduate.admissions@fredonia.edu to inform them that your proof of certification has been uploaded
