Welcome to The Department of Theatre and Dance at SUNY Fredonia!
Fredonia has the most comprehensive selection of theatrical degree programs in the SUNY system. With Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in Acting, Dance, Musical Theatre, and Theatrical Production and Design, a Bachelor of Science in Dance, and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts, no other SUNY can offer the range of experiences or opportunities that Fredonia does. The State University of New York is fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Theatre (NAST).
2025-2026 Program Auditions and Information
All audition/interview dates below for Fredonia's Bachelor of Fine Arts Programs (Acting, Dance, Musical Theatre, and Theatrical Production and Design) will take place both in person and remotely.
Audition Information Application Information
The deadline to submit pre-screening materials for the BFA Acting and BFA Musical Theatre programs is February 18th, 2026. Students whose pre-screening is successful will be invited to attend a virtual live audition on one of the dates listed below. Fredonia is a participant in the Musical Theatre Common Pre-Screen for the 2025-2026 cycle.
