The screening will be at the Dunkirk Multiplex, 10520 Bennett Rd., Dunkirk, NY, at 6 p.m., followed by a second showing at 9:30 p.m.

The film takes place in the 1800s, when a young Native American named Talako is hunted by the merciless pirate known as Redbeard, who believes Talako is in love with Redbeard's wife, Lara. A curse is placed on Redbeard's house, endangering anyone who comes near the old house. Almost 300 years later, a reincarnated Lara and Talako meet face to face and learn that everything happens for a reason.

Much of the movie was filmed in Miami, FL, followed by post- production in Florida and Fredonia, NY.

Alumnus Christopher Sill, who received a B.S. in Communication: Video Production in 2023, served as a production assistant in the film.

Mr. Smith plans to discuss the challenges of making the film in his production management course.

Screenings will continue for a week at the multiplex.
