This is a great place to learn and make music. The student-centered campus emphasizes the arts with its programs and facilities, and we dedicate ourselves to helping students become excellent musicians whether they are interested in being teachers, performers or composers, sound recording engineers or music therapists. The broad range of majors in the music school provides students with many opportunities to experiment, perform, create and grow in preparation for successful careers of their choice.
A solo audition in your major performance medium is required for admission; applicants to the School of Music must also be accepted by the College's Office of Admissions. Those interested in the B.F.A. Musical Theatre degree program will find information and audition applications at the Theatre and Dance Home Page. The 2007-08 Audition Schedule has been announced.
Fredonia's School of Music has successfully placed graduates in a variety of professional areas ranging from the commercial world of "pop" to that of the virtuoso classical soloist. Our alumni are active as west coast studio jazz musicians, in European concert halls, and on the faculties of American universities. Graduates of the Fredonia School of Music have made a significant impact on the professional world of music. We invite you explore our program offerings, visit our beautiful campus, and contact us directly with any questions you may have to determine if Fredonia is right for you.
