|A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 is required to be considered for admission, with higher
GPA requirements for certain certificate programs and majors. A minimum GPA of 2.75
is required for students seeking admission to Education or Communications programs.
Communication Disorders and Sciences requires a minimum GPA of 3.0 and Social Work
begins consideration at 2.5.
We also consider high school grades and SAT/ACT scores for students who present less
than 30 credit hours of college study.
Most transfer applicants are admitted to a specific major. With more than 45 credit
hours, you must apply into a major. Students wishing to pursue a major in the Visual
or Performing Arts may have additional audition or portfolio requirements. Please
contact the department or Elizabeth Curtin-O’Brien with questions about major requirements.
We welcome Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) transfer applicants. You must be
an EOP student at the school from which you are transferring in order to be considered
for EOP (known as the Educational Development Program, or EDP, at Fredonia).
