Nicholas Smith

Department of Communication Adjunct Lecturer Nicholas Smith is the author of “Cloudwalking,” a new book of poetry published by Alien Buddha Press in 2023.

“'Cloudwalking’ takes readers on a captivating journey through a dreamlike realm where words dance and emotions soar,” Mr. Smith explained.

With delicate strokes, Smith explores themes of self-discovery, love and the passage of time. Each carefully crafted line leaves an indelible impression, weaving a tapestry of emotions that resonates deep within.

Poems in "Cloudwalking" are like fleeting glimpses into a hidden world, he explained, filled with whimsy and wonder. Smith's unique perspective infuses the collection with a sense of magic and possibility.

Smith develops stories and characters every day, often working simultaneously on several projects.

A poetry reading and book signing by Smith will be held on Saturday, Feb. 24, at noon at the Darwin R. Barker Library, 7 Day Street, Fredonia, NY, in an event that is free and open to the public.
