Psi Chi Initiation and Award Winners!
On May 5, 2009, the Psychology Department held its Psi Chi initiation ceremony and reception. Thirty students were inducted into Psi Chi. Department Awards were also given, including the Donald Lehr Teaching Excellence Award, the Psychology Merit Award, and the Virginia Sexton Medallion. The awardees were as follows:
Psychology Merit Award: Noah Wheeler, Meredith Church, Daniel Schantz, and Scott Wright.
Psychology Merit Award Honorable Mention: Mary Fisher, Chad Swanson, and Allison Murray
Donald Lehr Teaching Excellence Award: Mary Fisher and Scott Wright
Virginia Sexton Medallion: Chad Swanson

Scott Wright, a recipient of both the Psychology Merit Award and the Donald Lehr Teaching Excellence Award, provides an overview of his experiences learning outside the classroom at Fredonia.
