The School of Music is excited to host cellist Yo-Yo Ma. The concert on Thursday, December 8 with the College Symphony Orchestra is sold out. As of December 5, tickets for the master class on Wednesday, December 7 have also all been distributed.

This unparalleled artist has performed at the Oscars, the Grammys, the Olympics, and before a live audience of over a million at the inauguration of President Barack Obama. Ma has released 75 records, holds Grammy Awards, honorary degrees and other awards, serves on President Obama's Committee on the Arts and Humanities, and has won the National Medal of the Arts and the World Economic Forum's Crystal Award. He was appointed Culture Connect Ambassador by the Department of State in 2002. This event is partially sponsored by the Williams Visiting Scholar/Artist program.Program subject to change. |
