String Camp Activities

Orchestra: Each student will play in the orchestra, which will rehearse daily and perform on the final concert in King Concert Hall on Saturday.

Chamber Ensembles: Every student will also be placed in a chamber ensemble that will rehearse with coaching from the Strings faculty.

Evening Concerts: Fredonia School of Music faculty soloists and ensembles, as well as camp counselors, will be featured in evening recitals.

Technique Classes: Daily group classes in violin, viola, cello and bass will be taught by Fredonia artist faculty.

Private Lessons: Students may wish to arrange for a private lesson with a studio teacher. Such opportunities will depend on the availability of the instructor. Arrangements should be made with the studio teacher upon arrival.

Meals: Camp meal planning is supervised by the Faculty Student Association. Cranston Marche is an All-You-Care-To-Eat dining facility that offers campers a variety of choices including vegetarian and vegan choices.

Recreation: softball, frisbee, tennis, swimming, racquetball, kickball, spud, etc.
