Undeclared First-Year Seminar Course (FRED 150)*

*Currently offered only in fall semesters

As part of the Academic Exploration Program, entering first year students who are undeclared and exploring their academic options are enrolled in the Undeclared First Year Seminar. This one-credit, graded course is taught by faculty and/or professional staff members and is designed to support students as they explore college majors, career options, campus resources, and their own interests, skills, values, and personality. Students are not expected to declare a major by the end of the semester; rather, the course emphasizes informed decision-making and intentional academic and career exploration. Through self-assessment, interaction with campus offices and organizations, and focused career research, students will gain a broad understanding of Fredonia’s resources and opportunities.
