On Thursday, March 26 at 6:30 p.m., a “Know Your Rights” workshop will be presented by the New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC).
All are welcome to the virtual event sponsored by the Social Work Club, a student organization, and requires pre-registration.
The workshop is helpful for anyone: those who may be impacted by immigration enforcement, those in community with people who may be directly impacted, and community members who want to be informed and ready to support.
The “Know Your Rights” workshop will cover:
- What is happening now with immigration enforcement in communities
- Types of immigration and law enforcement agents
- Rights in different spaces and situations
- How to be prepared
