The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America has selected the Fredonia State men's and women's swimming and diving teams for Scholar All-American honors.

The Blue Devil women checked in with a cumulative GPA of 3.63 in the spring and 3.57 for the school year while the men posted a 3.45 in the spring and 3.30 overall.

CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart mentioned the efforts of Head Coach Astrid Escobar. "No team was unaffected by this spring's pandemic," Mr. Earhart said, "but Athletic Director Jerry Fisk and President Dennis Hefner can and should be proud of their team and the work of Astrid."

Fredonia State was one of 461 schools to receive the award for the spring semester. Teams were selected on the basis of their spring grade-point averages and represent 17,982 student-athletes.
