On-campus voter registration event set

A voter registration drive geared to sign up Fredonia students will be co-hosted by the campus’ American Democracy Project and the League of Women Voters of Chautauqua County on Tuesday, Sept. 28, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., outside University Commons.

logo for American Democracy ProjectStudents are invited to visit the table to register so they can vote in the 2021 general election in November.

For more information on voting, visit the 2021 Political Calendar from the Chautauqua County Board of Elections (BoE) online.

This campus voter registration is open to people who are eligible to register to vote in New York state.

Important voter/election dates to remember include:

Friday, Oct. 8, is the last day to postmark a voter registration form or to register in person at the Chautauqua County Board of Elections in Mayville. Early voting is available between Oct. 23 and Oct. 31. The last day to apply in person for an absentee ballot is Monday, Nov. 1. The last day to postmark a ballot for the general election or to deliver an absentee ballot in person to the Chautauqua County Board of Elections is Tuesday, Nov. 2.
