Associate Professor Mike Igoe

Associate Professor Mike Igoe, who teaches in the Journalism area in the Department of Communication, has been appointed to a three-year term as a U.S. Fulbright Specialist.

As part of the program, academics and established professionals engage in two- to six-week, project-based exchanges at host institutions across the globe. The Fulbright program celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2021, and in 2001 the Specialist program was initiated. Over 400 Specialists travel abroad each year in the program.

During a previous appointment, Mr. Igoe taught at Hong Kong Baptist University.

School of Music Senior Lecturer and contralto Lynne McMurtry and pianist Dr. Alison d’Amato recently presented a recital featuring the music of Robert Schumann, Clara Schumann, Fanny Hensel, John Musto, Rosephanye Powell, Gabrielle Rosse Owens, Hope Salmonson and Rodney Sharman.
