Dr. Mojtaba Seyedian
Dr. Mojtaba Seyedian of the School of Business virtually presented a paper 21st Annual Business Research Consortium Conference.
The title of the paper presented on April 26, "Cloverfield Mutual: Navigating Growth and the Labor Force Crisis — A Teaching Case," co-authored with the School of Business colleagues Drs. Lisa Walters and Mark Nickerson.
The article is about an authentic business case study that explores the challenges of a family-owned insurance company as it faces a significant human resource shortage while still trying to implement plans for growth. Cloverfield Mutual has traditionally embraced a rural hiring strategy that now appears risky with regard to technological advancement and the diminishing rural population. Dr. Seyedian noted the case provides a means for analyzing strategic human resource decisions, financial health, and operational sustainability in the post-COVID insurance environment.
