Faculty member publishes study

Dr. Josie Diebold recently published a study in Abolitionist Perspectives in Social Work.

The scholarly work examined how white antiracists understand and engage with prison industrial complex abolition. Drawing on interviews with 26 participants, the research explores how white people committed to racial justice develop a stake in creating alternatives to policing and prisons and what lessons these perspectives may offer for social work and antiracist practice.

Dr. Diebold is a faculty member in the Department of Social Work and Criminal Justice.
