Theatre and Dance faculty are involved in the professional production of the musical, “Islander,” at the Irish Classical Theatre Company.
The production opened April 10 and runs through April 26, Buffalo, NY.
The unique musical uses groundbreaking live looping technology for its entire score and soundscape.
Professor Jessica Hillman-McCord directs and choreographs, and sought out the support of multiple faculty members. Lecturer Jay Teamer serves as Musical Director; Assistant Professor Jessica Lustig, as Costume Designer, Adjunct Professor Hyla Stelhorn, as Scenic Designer, and Assistant Professor Dan Lendzian, as movement consultant.
Additionally, the production stars Fredonia B.F.A. Musical Theatre alumna Vanessa Vacanti. Alumnus Aidan Heaney, who was a B.F.A. Acting major, serves as Assistant Director/Dramaturg.
