The School of Business announces that research from the International Business Analytics Conference is in the process of being published.

The research is appearing in two special issues of Empirical Economic Letters (EEL). The publication is a highly ranked scholarly journal in the field of economics and applied business research.

Serving as editors for the special issues are Associate Professor Justin Mindzak and School of Business Dean Kaustav Misra. Their leadership has helped to transform conference discussions into published academic work.

The first special issue, which features the official proceedings of the conference, has already been released. The second special issue, which includes peer-reviewed papers submitted by conference participants, will be published at the end of the year.

“This represents research of real significance,” said Associate Professor Mindzak. “We are now working closely with authors and reviewers to finalize the submitted papers. It is exciting to see IBAC’s focus on areas such as business decision-making, data analytics, and artificial intelligence highlighted in a respected academic journal.”

Dean Misra noted the scale of the effort: “This is a notable achievement. Faculty and staff at Fredonia dedicate hundreds of hours to organizing IBAC each year, and this recognition highlights the impact of their work. It also shows how Fredonia contributes to advancing research in business and analytics.”

The International Business Analytics Conference (IBAC) brings together researchers and practitioners to share new work in business, economics, and emerging technologies. Publication in EEL underscores both the quality of the scholarship and SUNY Fredonia’s commitment to research and innovation.
