The Fred Pride Coalition (FPC) is a faculty and staff affinity group.

It strives to provide support, promote inclusion, and advocate for LGBTQIA+ identities on campus, and is described as “a very laid-back group and you can attend any event without having to commit!”

The coalition provides programs, social events and informational sessions on matters of importance to the LGBTQIA+ community. The group meets monthly and organizes at least two events per semester around notable LGBTQIA+ awareness dates.

An upcoming event is a Happy Hour to commemorate National Coming Out Day, on Tuesday, Oct. 13 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Downtown Brew in the village of Fredonia.

Members of the campus community are invited to attend to meet the members of FPC and learn more about the group. It is an informal "meet and greet” for new and existing members, and all are invited (queer or allies). As they say, “The more the merrier!”

The final event of the semester will be a Holiday Party/Social on Tuesday, Nov 10 from 4 to 0 6 p.m. More information will be released in the future.
