International students gather for a group photo at a reception in the Williams Center Horizon Room to welcome them to the campus for the fall semester.
A reception in the Williams Center recently welcomed new international students to SUNY Fredonia.
President Stephen H. Kolison Jr. and Dong Wang, a student from China majoring in Music Therapy, delivered welcoming remarks.
Among the group were many student-athletes, including ice hockey players from Canada, and a group of English language learners from Kanda University in Japan, who will be on campus for the fall semester. The Kanda students’ visit was arranged through a new partnership with SUNY Fredonia. It is the first time the campus has welcomed Kanda students for a semester-long program.
In addition, there are students from Japan, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, India, South Africa, Malaysia and the United Kingdom.
