Graham-Reinhardt named to the Fredonia College Council

Tamu Graham-Reinhardt was appointed on Sept. 29 by New York State Governor Kathy Hochul as a member of the College Council at SUNY Fredonia.

Mrs. Graham-Reinhart is the Coordinator of Family and Community Engagement (FACE) and Inclusivity for the Jamestown (NY) City School District (JCSD). The FACE and Inclusivity office seeks to expand family and community and business partnerships designed to increase engagement and have a positive impact on student achievement.

In addition to her duties, she oversees the English as a New Language program, is in the process of developing an Equity and Inclusion plan, and is working to develop a dual language program at Love Elementary School. She also acts as the district liaison for recently resettled families through Journey’s End Refugee Services of Buffalo, NY.

From 2001 to 2017, Graham-Reinhardt worked as a Curriculum Coordinator for the JCSD. She has also been a staff development specialist with Erie 2 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES, a Spanish teacher at Falconer Central Schools, a school and district improvement facilitator for WestED, and an adjunct instructor at Jamestown Community College.

Graham-Reinhardt graduated from Jamestown High School and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish Education from State University of New York at Buffalo. She received her Master of Arts degree in Public Relations from Ball State University in Indiana, and she holds her New York State School District Administration Certification, and a Cornell University Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion.

Graham-Reinhardt is a board member of the United Way of Southern Chautauqua County, Junior Achievement of Western New York, and is a certified track and field official.

Her personal volunteer work includes The Jamestown Refugee Resettlement Coalition, and the Love Mercy Do Justice Interfaith Coalition.

Graham-Reinhardt also served as a Jamestown City Council At-Large member from January 2019 until 2022.

College Council members serve as resources to the campus and engage with the campus and community members by attending campus functions and quarterly College Council meetings. In addition to direct involvement with the campus they serve, they are also ambassadors for the university and help promote the various contributions and importance of SUNY Fredonia to the region and beyond.
