International students gather with President Stephen H. Kolison Jr.
SUNY Fredonia formally welcomed new international students from nine different countries on Aug. 21.
Jacob Czelusta, assistant director of International Students Sservices; Jash Parekh, a business student from India, and SUNY Fredonia President Stephen H. Kolison Jr. offered remarks before gathering for a group photo.
New students joining the SUNY Fredonia community are from Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Ecuador, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Japan and Norway.
Majors represented are Business, Elementary Education, Math, Music Industry, Music Performance and Sport Management. The group also included three students studying English as a second language that are visiting through a partnership that Fredonia has with Kanda University in Japan.
Student-athletes were also in abundance as our newest international students are also members of the ice hockey, baseball, basketball and soccer teams.
