Fredonia’s Career Development Office will host its annual Job & Internship Expo on Wednesday, March 4, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Williams Center Multipurpose Room.

The event is free and open to current students as well as Fredonia alumni.

Now in its 10th year, the expo will bring to campus more than 80 organizations eager to discuss their potential job and internship openings with Fredonia candidates. Represented industries include business, energy, financial services, manufacturing, health care, technology, health and human service agencies, retail management, government, law enforcement and many other fields, offering full- and part-time positions, summer jobs and/or paid or for-credit internships.

Representatives will also be available to speak to students more generally about careers in those fields, making this an excellent learning opportunity for students in all class years.

Organizations scheduled to participate are based in Erie and Chautauqua counties, as well as the Rochester, N.Y., area and throughout New York state. In addition, there will be several out-of-state organizations participating. Many organizations will be represented by Fredonia alumni.

A full list of participating organizations can be found at and participants will continue to be added as the event approaches.

Attendees are strongly encouraged to dress professionally, bring several copies of their résumé or work portfolios, and come prepared by researching the employers and their industries before the event. Job postings from the employers attending will be available in FREDNetwork, the CDO’s job and internship posting database, located on the CDO website. Several companies will return for on-campus interviews in the weeks following the event.

The CDO encourages students who wish to brush up their resume or their interviewing skills before the event to schedule an appointment using FREDNetwork.

Interested employers can register for the event online or visit the CDO website to learn more. Contact the Career Development Office at 716-673-3327 or with questions.
