Jennifer Petracchi, a senior from Farmington, NY, was named the Resident Assistant of the Month for April by Residence Life.
A third semester RA with a major in Music Education, Ms. Petracchi is president of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, a member of National Association for Music Education (NAfME) and has worked at Cranston Marché since the fall of 2022.
When asked what she likes most about SUNY Fredonia, Petracchi replies: “The opportunities for jobs, classes, clubs, resources, etc. I also am super grateful and appreciative of the community aspect throughout Fredonia.”
Chautauqua Hall Residence Director Donna Good West nominated Petracchi for the award, praising her as “a powerful positive force in Chautauqua Hall. She consistently goes above and beyond for her residents.
“Jen is one of those RAs residents see around the building, around campus, especially in Cranston Marché (where she also works), and Jen makes them feel special and memorable,” Ms. West said.
“Overall, Jen cares deeply about her residents and shows it in her interactions with them."
After student teaching in the spring semester and graduation, Petracchi will seek a full-time teaching position.
