The Fredonia School of Music has announced 2020 student awards/scholarships, made possible through endowments established with the Fredonia College Foundation:

Megan Brunner - Anthony Strychalski Scholarship for an outstanding music major with significant musical and academic achievements.

Mickie Wadsworth - Lawrence Schauffler Scholarship for an outstanding music major with significant musical and academic achievements.

Chelsea Karim - Poummit Concert Master Award for an outstanding music major with significant musical and academic achievements.

MacKenzie Odell - Poummit Concert Master Award for an outstanding music major with significant musical and academic achievements.

Stephen Beardsley - Lucia Gracia Bolton Award for an outstanding music major entering the junior year who exemplifies the values of motivation, hard work, honesty, integrity and commitment.

Rose Roberson - Class of 1955 Scholarship for an outstanding music major with significant musical and academic achievements.

Daryl Warren - Vincent Morette Memorial Award for a music major with outstanding academic and musical achievements.

Hannah Mohr - New York State Home Bureaus Scholarship for an outstanding Music Therapy major; and the Elizabeth Marsh Memorial Scholarship for an outstanding Music Therapy major.

Jianan Mao - Harry Milgram and David Luterman Scholarship in Music Therapy.

Grace Mingeoa - Hillman Memorial Music Association Scholarship, and the David Evans Voice Performance Scholarship for an outstanding Performance major.

Rory Buscaglia - Donald Iannuzzi Memorial Scholarship, designated for a voice major with significant musical and academic achievements.

Robert Kleinertz - Charles G. Eikenburg Opera and Vocal Performance Scholarship for an outstanding vocal performer.

Ross Wiley - Barbara Kilduff Voice Scholarship, designated for an outstanding vocal performer.

Madison Pelkey - John Dubnicki, Sr. Scholarship, designated for an outstanding voice or piano major.

Rachel Proffitt - Delores Nelson Scholarship.

Anna Engel - Lauren Miller Memorial Scholarship, given in recognition of significant contributions to Fredonia's choirs.

Adina Martin - Dr. Gerald Gray Choral Scholarship.

Cloe Shan - A.L. Van Keuren Scholarship for an outstanding string major

Noah Luthart - Garretson-Richardson String Scholarship. Created in memory of professors Homer Garretson (violin) and Louis Richardson (cello), it is designated for an outstanding string major with significant accomplishments during the past year.

Sarah Bunk - Garretson-Richardson String Scholarship. Created in memory of professors Homer Garretson (violin) and Louis Richardson (cello), it is designated for an outstanding string major with significant accomplishments during the past year.

Joseph Imburgia - Isaac Stern String Scholarship for an outstanding string student, made possible by an anonymous friend of the late violin virtuoso Isaac Stern.

Kuanli Zhang - Dr. Robert Hesse Scholarship for an outstanding violinist.

Anders Lewis - Sid Olshein Scholarship, designated for an outstanding string major with an interest in jazz.

Cloe Hall - Harry King Scholarship, designated for a string major with significant musical and academic achievements.

Jordan Dove - Lois V. and Herbert W. Harp Memorial Scholarship for an outstanding brass major with significant musical and academic achievements, the Monroe-Poummit Big Band Scholarship for a student who has made significant contributions to Fredonia's jazz ensembles during the past year, and the Lenox-Denton Organ Scholarship.

William Schrantz - Dr. Linda Phillips Fredonia Jazz Ensemble Scholarship, for an outstanding member of the Fredonia Jazz Ensemble.

Jenna Rutowski - Greg Snow Music Technology Award.

Maeve Roman - John A. Maier Memorial Award for an outstanding woodwind major.

Dakota Dugan - Frank and Maureen Pagano Scholarship for an outstanding flutist majoring in Performance or Music Education with a minimum grade-point average of 3.0.

Hanna Bauman - Dr. Susan Royal Flute Scholarship, designated for a flute major who is a strong performer, has a minimum GPA of 3.3, and who approaches life with joy, persistence, courage and compassion for others.

Shannon Graham - Lenox-Denton Organ Scholarship.

Scott Sgueglia - Lenox-Denton Organ Scholarship.

Ye Jin Lee - Lenox-Denton Organ Scholarship.

Timothy Bartoldus - Sigurd Rascher Saxophone Scholarship.

Olivia Davie - Class of 1953 Music Education Award for an outstanding graduating senior Music Education major.

Emily Erb - Charles Arnold Award for an outstanding string major.
