Faculty, staff and administrators are encouraged to nominate students for Student of the Month and RA of the Month awards.
The Office of Residence Life launched the programs in Spring 2003 to recognize outstanding SUNY Fredonia students.
The Student of the Month Committee recognizes students and RAs who are well-rounded, excel in their academics and who contribute positively to the campus and community. Nominations of students who embody and/or intentionally support the campus in honoring diversity, enhancing wellness and promoting career readiness are especially encouraged.
Those selected as Student of the Month and RA of the Month receive a $20 gift card to the bookstore, a certificate and lunch at Cranston Marché with their nominator. In addition, each student’s name is engraved on a plaque that hangs in the Office of Residence Life.
Students who are nominated are to have completed at least one year at SUNY Fredonia and do not have to live on campus.
