The American Democracy Project at SUNY Fredonia is partnering with the League of Women Voters of Chautauqua County to make voter registration methods more accessible to students.

The two organizations have joined forces to hold campus-wide Voter Registration Drives. Each event gives students the opportunity to grab and complete a voter registration form. Representatives will assist students in filling out the form and turning them in to election offices. Organizers note that the process is quick and easy with multiple dates and locations to accommodate as many students as possible.

Dates and locations are as follows:

  • Wednesday, Sept. 7, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., inside of University Commons in front of the bookstore/Starbucks
  • Wednesday, Sept. 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside of McEwen Hall under the radio station
  • Tuesday, Sept. 20, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. outside (or inside) the Williams Center
  • Wednesday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. outside (or inside) the Williams Center

Organizers note, “Your vote is your voice. Don't stay silent. If you haven't registered to vote, we hope you take advantage of this great opportunity.”
