International Student Services will hold its annual Global Banquet Thursday, Nov. 20, in the Williams Center Horizon Room.
A menu that reflects SUNY Fredonia’s international student population, student performances and a basket raffle are part of the event that begins at 6 p.m. The buffet style dinner will include bulgogi (Korea), chicken butter masala (India) and vegetable paella (Spain), among many other selections prepared by the Faculty Student Association (FSA).
Seating is limited to the banquet that is expected to be a sell-out. FSA and the International Club are additional banquet sponsors.
The annual gathering is held during International Education Week in celebration of SUNY Fredonia's international students, many of whom have traveled great distances to obtain a Fredonia education.
Current international students on campus are from Belgium, Cambodia, Canada, China, Czechia, Ecuador, Germany, Iceland, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, South Africa and the United Kingdom.
Following dinner, there will be a number of student performances.
Tickets are $1 for students and $20 for non-students, and can be purchased here
