Vanwesenbeeck offers presentations

Dr. Iclal Vanwesenbeeck of the Department of English participated in two recent talks.

She was invited to speak on April 4 at New York University’s Roundtable on Turkish Literature and History, “Halid Ebid and Refik Halid Karay in Translation and as Dissidents,” at the Kevorkian Center Library.

Dr. Vanwesenbeeck also gave an invited virtual presentation to the Anglo-Turkish Society in the United Kingdom with the title, “From Empire to Nation: Opera in Halide Edib’s Works.”
