Department of History Professor Markus Vink wrote a book review published in the most recent issue of the Journal for Maritime Research, an international, peer-reviewed journal established by the British National Maritime Museum in Greenwich.

Dr. Vink's article reviews the volume “Ocean Histories,” published in 2017 by Cambridge University Press and edited by David Armitage, Alison Bashford and Sujit Sivasundaram.

The collection of interdisciplinary essays represents the inaugural volume of the monographic series “Cambridge Ocean Histories” critiquing and recontextualizing the prevalent paradigmatic genealogy of oceanic history. Vink’s review is accessible online.
