“Poké-Paws,” this year’s Lend a Paw for Autism dog walk presented by HAIL! Fredonia Records and Fredonia’s Music Industry program to benefit the Institute for Autism Research at Canisius College, has gone virtual.

“For a minimum $5 donation, we will feature your dog on our social media platforms,” said Emily Rasulo, event coordinator for HAIL! Fredonia Records.

The virtual walk that began on April 1 continues through Saturday, May 15. Proceeds will be given to the Institute for Autism Research, an interdisciplinary collaborative research center dedicated to understanding autism spectrum disorder and enhancing the lives of those affected and their families.

Raffle tickets to win one of 10 prizes will also be available. The prizes include gift cards from Domus Fare, Taqo, Buddy Brewster’s Ale House, Crino Music and DeJohn’s Italian Spaghetti House. Other prizes include Fun and Function tote bags, a cleat football shoe signed by Buffalo Bills wide receiver Cole Beasley, a campus Cryptic Apparel hoodie or t-shirt, a CD and stickers from HAIL! Fredonia Records band Grosh, of Buffalo, and a Music Industry program Songwriters Night poster signed by English musician Denny Laine.

Students will also host a livestream event on Sunday, April 25, from 2 to 8 p.m., to promote donations. It can be accessed at HAIL! Fredonia Records on YouTube and at HAIL! Fredonia Records on Twitch.
