Welcome to Fredonia STEP
The Fredonia Science and Technology Entry Program (STEP) is one of 117 STEP projects across New York State, funded by the New York State Department of Education’s Office of Postsecondary Access, Support, and Success (OPASS). This program seeks to increase the number of economically disadvantaged students in grades 7-12.
Mission
To increase the number of economically disadvantaged students prepared to enter college, and improve their participation rate in mathematics, science, technology, health-related fields, and the licensed professions.

- Students in grades 7-12 who are identified as economically disadvantaged
- Currently serving 292 students across ten school districts
