Dr. Marshall earned her Ph.D. in elementary education in 2004. She spent 7 years teaching elementary literacy and social studies in a blended 6th-grade classroom before teaching at the university level. She has been a faculty member of the College of Education since 2003 and is the Childhood Education Program Coordinator.

Research Interests

Her research interests include: School-university partnerships and their impact on equipping teacher candidates as future educators; Preserving social studies instruction in elementary classrooms with an overcrowded curriculum and the demands of the Common Core Standards and state-mandated testing.
