Barbara Nolan, Ph.D. Prior to joining the Fredonia College of Education as Associate Dean, Dr. Nolan was Chair and Associate Professor in the Department of Human Learning and Development at Dowling College where she taught courses in Educational Research Methods and Classroom Assessment. Dr. Nolan has published numerous reports and scholarly articles in the area of educational program evaluation, new teacher mentoring, and new teacher leadership. She has extensive experience with pre-service teacher education as an instructor and field supervisor and has a strong working knowledge of CAEP, NCATE and ACEI standards. Previously, Dr. Nolan was an assistant professor of education and Director of the Center for Program Evaluation and Measurement at Rutgers University’s Graduate School of Education. Dr. Nolan is a former elementary and secondary school teacher and a member of the Montaukett Nation of Long Island, New York.
