Barbara Nolan, Ph.D.
Prior to joining the Fredonia College of Education in 2016, as Associate Dean, Dr. Nolan was Chair and Associate Professor in the Department of Human Learning and Development at Dowling College where she taught courses in Research Methods, Classroom Assessment, and Educational Psychology. Dr. Nolan has published numerous reports and scholarly articles in the area of educational program evaluation, new teacher mentoring, and new teacher leadership. She has extensive experience with pre-service teacher education as an instructor and field supervisor and has a strong working knowledge of CAEP, NCATE, and ACEI standards. Previously, Dr. Nolan was an assistant professor of education and Director of the Center for Program Evaluation and Measurement at Rutgers University’s Graduate School of Education. Dr. Nolan is a former elementary and secondary school teacher and a faculty member in the Fredonia Department of Education.
