Honors Solo Vocal Camp
June 26 - July 2, 2022
More details coming soon.
Now in its fifth year, the Honors Solo Vocal Camp is for those high school students (grades 9-12) interested in further developing their skills as trained singers. Students will work with Fredonia School of Music voice faculty in private lessons, in small groups sessions about acting, and in large groups sessions about vocal health, practicing, and warming up the body and voice. Students will also learn how to approach new repertoire in a way that allows them to best communicate it.
In addition, voice students will participate in master classes, attend special evening performances given by fellow students, counselors, and faculty, and have time for individual practice and recreation. The week will culminate in a program of scenes and song, giving students the chance to show off what they have learned, as well as in a combined concert with the Band camp, in which they will perform as a chorus.
- Students will be asked to send a video with their applications.
- Registered students will be sent music to learn before the camp, along with mp3s to help them learn the repertoire.
