Spanish Adolescence Education, B.A. Sample Degree Map

The Spanish Adolescence Education, B.A. degree offers courses from the elementary level to advanced courses in conversation, composition and literature. Examples of upper level courses offered in Spanish include: Spanish Culture and Civilization, Imperial Spain, Spanish American Fiction, Short Story Writers, The Art and Craft of Translation, etc. Majors are strongly encouraged to study for a semester or two in Spanish speaking countries to enhance their linguistic skills and develop their sensitivity and understanding of another culture. The department offers study abroad programs in Oaxaca and Puebla, Mexico and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
