Teaching Interests
Dedicated to cultivating students as both consumers and creators of information, my teaching interests align with the ACRL Framework, incorporating the principles of metaliteracy. Embracing the notion that information literacy is a dynamic set of abilities, I emphasize the importance of students participating successfully in collaborative spaces, fostering behavioral, affective, cognitive, and metacognitive engagement with the information ecosystem. With a special emphasis on metacognition or critical self-reflection, I strive to empower learners to navigate the rapidly changing information landscape, encouraging them to become more self-directed in their exploration and creation of knowledge.
