Maisie Strader, a senior from Brockport, NY, was named the November Student of The Month by Residence Life.

A Journalism major with a minor in Environmental Studies, Ms. Strader is the general manager of Fredonia Radio Systems, a Work Study student and also works at the Cranston Marche’.

Maisie is super active in the campus community, making significant contributions through her work at The Leader and at the radio station as that organization's president.” - Donna Good West

When asked about her favorite things about Fredonia, Strader replies, “How nice and open everyone is. People are rooting for you to succeed here.”

Asked what she’ll do after graduation, Strader says, “I am going to move in with my freshman year roommate after graduation. Then hopefully get a job in my field, discussing environmental changes that people should be aware of in different locations.”

Strader was nominated by Chautauqua Hall Residence Director Donna Good West.

“Maisie is super active in the campus community, making significant contributions through her work at The Leader and at the radio station as that organization's president,” Ms. West commented. “I have known Maisie since she was a first-year student living in Chautauqua Hall. She is an extremely hard-working student who has grown into an excellent student leader on campus,” West added.

The Student of the Month program was implemented in 2003 to recognize students who are well-rounded, excel in their academics and contribute positively to the campus and community.
