Juniors Izzy Audette (Ballston Spa/Ballston Spa) and Gabby Alston (Niskayuna/Niskayuna) were named United Soccer Coaches Region III All Stars following a successful season for the Fredonia State women's soccer team.

Audette, named to the Second Team, was one of the top defenders in the region, helping the Devils to a 10-7-3 mark and a post-season win. She connected on two goals and had one assist. Audette was also a First Team All SUNYAC selection. In addition, she was a Third Team All SUNYAC selection as a freshman in 2019.

Alston, a Third Team selection, led the Blue Devils with seven goals and was second with three assists. Three times she connected on game-winning scores. Alston led the Devils with 17 points and 29 shots on goal. She was a Second Team All SUNYAC selection.

"It is a well deserved honor for both of them," said head coach Chris Case. "They both had great seasons.  Both of them have so much talent and it is great to see them display it each day throughout the Fall season."

The Fredonia State baseball team extended its win streak to four games with 10-4 and 5-4 wins over visiting Hilbert College on Monday. Christian Pagano connected for a two-run homerun in Game 1, his third in as many games. Alex Gannon added a two-run blast of his own in the opener.

Day 2 results at Cortland

The 4x100 relay team took third place, and turned in a AARTFC qualifying time on the second day of the Cortland Classic on Saturday. Jacob Winn -- a member of the relay team -- also turned in a third place in the finals of the 100m dash.

After qualifying for the finals on Friday, Cara Pellechia finished fourth in the 100m dash, and also turned in a fifth-place finish in the 200m for the top two finishes for the Fredonia State women's track and field team.
