Kyle Jelinski (Edmonton, Alberta) made a triumphant return from a near season-ending injury to score the game-winning overtime goal Wednesday as Fredonia defeated SUNY Buffalo State, 3-2, in the first round of the SUNYAC men's hockey tournament.
The Fredonia women's basketball team finished its opening-round playoff game on a 9-0 run en route to a 59-51 upset victory over Oneonta on Tuesday. The Devils entered the tournament as the No. 6 seed while the Red Dragons were the No. 3 seed.

Fredonia celebrated Pink The Rink 2019 on Saturday after falling to Plattsburgh, 3-2, in SUNYAC men's hockey. The 13th annual event culminated with presentation of the Blue Devils' jerseys during an on-ice ceremony honoring cancer survivors. This year's tally ups the all-time total donation to The American Cancer Society to over $90,000.
