The next Fredonia Brown Bag Lunch is on Dec. 10 at noon in Williams Center Room S204.

The featured speaker is SUNY Fredonia student Tatum Erickson, who will deliver a talk, "Lily Dale: The Spiritual Capital of New York State.”

In her presentation, Ms. Erickson will discuss Lily Dale’s history. The talk will explore the impact of the town, offering insights into the role it played in making western New York and even the United States of America the place it is today.

Ms. Erickson is a dual major student, Communication: Audio/Radio and Music Industry, who plans to graduate in the spring of 2027. She spent two years researching Lily Dale’s history, with particular interests in the women’s suffrage movement. Her recent work includes managing a charitable foundation.

The Fredonia Brown Bag Lunch Series offers monthly informal talks by SUNY Fredonia faculty members and guest speakers. A brief discussion follows each presentation. A light lunch is served. The series is supported by a grant from the Carnahan Jackson Humanities Fund through the Fredonia College Foundation.
