Business students, ’22 graduate to receive Simmons sales awards

Three students and one recent graduate ­– all from the School of Business – will be awarded Simmons Student Sales Awards, each valued at $500, at an informal ceremony in the School of Business conference room at Thompson Hall Room W301 on Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 4 p.m.

George Simmons, a SUNY Fredonia graduate and senior partner at Derby Management, a Boston-based sales and marketing consulting firm, will be joined by Interim Dean of the School of Business Moj Seyedian in the presentation of certificates and checks. The students have been recognized as the top four performers in BUAD 350: Special topics: Business to Business Selling in the Fall 2022 semester, and include:

  • Morgan M. Giglio, who graduated with a degree in Business Administration in December 2022, from Hornell.;
  • Rachel E. Dunn, a junior majoring in Business Administration: Management, with minors in Communication and Accounting, from Orchard Park;
  • Sarah M. State, a senior majoring in Public Accountancy and Business Administration: Management, with a minor in History, from Marion, N.Y.
  • Cody R. Flett, a senior majoring in Business Administration: Management, from Eden.

Mr. Simmons earned a B.A. in Political Science from SUNY Fredonia in 1975.
