Dr. Michael Clarkson-Hendrix
Associate Professor Michael Clarkson-Hendrix shared research with the National Association of Social Workers-New York State Western Division.
Dr. Clarkson-Hendrix’s invited presentation, "Health, Mental Health, and Disability: Anti-Oppressive Opportunities for Social Workers," provided social work practice knowledge by applying an anti-oppressive model of social work practice and the disability community (Slayter & Johnson, 2022) to medical and mental health settings.
Clarkson-Hendrix, of the Department of Sociocultural and Justice Sciences, gave his talk at the association’s social work awards ceremony on April 9 at Niagara University.
